Dr. Sandoval is a hip specialist traumatologist with experience since 2002 in national and international public and private hospitals.
He is a Fellow of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology after passing the European homologation exam in 2008 in Geneva (Switzerland).
He obtained his doctorate with the highest distinction, Summa Cum Laude, from the Complutense University of Madrid with a doctoral thesis on arthroscopic hip surgery.
During his career he further specialized in Canada through a one-year fellowship in Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgery and Sports Surgery.
Dr. Sandoval stands out for his training in “direct anterior approach” hip prosthesis, a novel technique to avoid cutting any muscle, as well as in hip arthroscopy for the treatment of athletes.
In January 2025 he joined the team of hip surgery experts at Hip Institute (Madrid), where he currently carries out all his work.
He is a member of various Scientific Societies such as the Spanish Association of Arthroscopy, the Spanish Society of Hip Surgery and the Spanish Society of Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery.

With a solid academic and professional background, graduated in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, Colombia, homologated to the official Spanish degree of Bachelor of Medicine in 2010 and specialized in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (MIR), from the Ramon y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid. His international experience includes a clinical observership at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in the United States, and has obtained prestigious certifications such as Train Airway Trainer of the European Airway Management Society (EAMS) / Instructor of Airway Management by the European Society, developing as a Trainer – Teacher of national courses in this area, the most recent of them in February 2024. Cardiovascular Life Support, Provider of the American Heart Association / ACLS Provider in 2023, of the American Heart Society; rigorous certification and under evaluation that is renewed biannually.

Nathalie is a fundamental pillar in the organization and operation of Hip Institute, as she is responsible for managing the healthcare activity at our center. This includes processing and confirming appointments, incorporating and managing diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, etc.), and coordinating scheduled surgeries.
In addition, Nathalie manages medical schedules, records basic clinical data, and maintains fluid communication with the medical team to ensure efficiency in care processes. She also handles numerous administrative tasks such as managing medical documentation, billing, and issuing documents for patients (receipts, certificates, etc.), always striving for professional excellence.
Nathalie provides information and assists patients with the necessary administrative procedures before, during, and after consultations and treatments. Additionally, she ensures a friendly reception, answers questions, and facilitates access to Hip Institute’s specialized services.
